What is the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce?

The Gisborne Chamber of Commerce is a body of Business and Professional people working together in the interest of trade, industry and commerce in an endeavour to make Gisborne a better place to profitably do business.

Gisborne Chamber was established in 1877 and currently has a membership of corporate and individual members, representing all areas of the Gisborne business community.

The Voice of Gisborne Business

The Chamber is a strong representative voice for local business.

We rely on our members to bring to our attention issues which effect the success of their business. We aim to be pro-active and lobby for issues which will enhance sustainable business growth and well-being in the Gisborne district.

Your local Chamber office also works closely with the Department of Labour.  Chrissie Hape, the local Relationship Manager with the Department of Labour has a hot-desk in the Chamber office - If you need assistance with workplace issues, please ring the office and make an appointment.
