What is the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce?

The Gisborne Chamber of Commerce is a body of Business and Professional people working together in the interest of trade, industry and commerce in an endeavour to make Gisborne a better place to profitably do business.

Gisborne Chamber was established in 1877 and currently has a membership of corporate and individual members, representing all areas of the Gisborne business community.

The Voice of Gisborne Business

The Chamber is a strong representative voice for local business.

We rely on our members to bring to our attention issues which affect the success of their business. We aim to be pro-active and lobby for issues which will enhance sustainable business growth and well-being in the Gisborne district.

biz is a specialist business information and referral service that is offered through a nationwide network of walk-in information centres and a free phone service.  Call into the local Chamber office at 209 Grey Street and our local biz Advisor can help you access the information, contacts, training and advice you need to develop your business.  And .... give you information on Government and private sector business services. 

Your local Chamber office also works closely with the Department of Labour.  If you need assistance with workplace issues, please ring this office (06 8630384) and make an appointment. We can arrange appointments with the DOL staff who cover workplace safety and travel to Gisborne on a regular basis.
