NZTE Capability Development Vouchers
Eligible businesses will be able to use NZTE vouchers to help them pay for qualifying services such as training workshops, courses and coaching.
To qualify a business must:
- have fewer than 50 full time employees
- be operating in a commercial environment
- be registered for GST in New Zealand
- be privately owned, or a Maori Trust or incorporation under the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, or similar organisation managing Maori assets under multiple ownership
- demonstrate a desire to innovate and grow
- have undergone a free capability assessment with the Regional Business Partner
The value of the vouchers will vary. They may cover up to 50 percent of the full cost of the training. The maximum amount a business can receive in one year is $5000 (excluding GST).
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) have approved a number of training providers based throughout New Zealand and offer training in:
- marketing strategies
- business planning
- business systems
- finance
- business sustainability
- managing resources
- governance
- lean manufacturing/business operations
- exporting.

- Employers’ Chamber of Commerce
- The Icehouse
